    He posted the 95 Theses on the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany. The 95 Theses were a protest against selling the indulgences. In the thesis, he had three main points which were: Selling indulgences to finance the building of St. Peter's is wrong, also, the pope has no power over Purgatory, and that buying indulgences endangers people's salvation.
