    Impressment of sailors
    One of the events that lead to the War of 1812, and it was where the British Navy would capture American sailors and forcefully make them serve in the Royal Navy. This showed that the British had nor respect for American sovereignty. This happened during the first decade of the 19th century.
  • Chesapeake-Leopard Affair

    Chesapeake-Leopard Affair
    This was one of the events that lead to the War of 1812, 15 miles off the Virginia coast, the British warship HMS Leopard hailed the USS Chesapeake. A British lieutenant boarded the ship and demanded that Captain James Barron muster his crew so the British could look for deserters, and Barron refused. So Captain Salusbury Humphreys returned to his ship furious and he had his gunners fire three broadsides into the American ship. Three American sailors were killed and 18 were wounded.

    He was a Native American Shawnee warrior and chief. Native Americans against American in remnant of the alliance Britain had with the Native Americans. He lead an army of At the Battle of the Thames in 1813, the British and Native Americans were defeated by an American force, Tecumseh was killed, and the surviving Native Americans withdrew from the alliance. Tecumseh's War or Tecumseh's Rebellion lasted from Nov 7, 1811 – Oct 5, 1813.

The purpose was so the New England Federalist Party could meet to discuss their grievances concerning the ongoing War of 1812 and the political problems arising from the federal government's increasing power.
