On the Morning of August 19 1812 the us ship USS Constitution got a victory over the inferior British HMS Guerriere. This victory is important after the victory the ship returned to Boston with news of the victory, which turned to be an important morale boost.

On May 3rd 1813 Royal Marines landed in Maryland and burned down the city of Havre de Grace, Maryland. Although they were met with local resistance and Maryland Militia Men it was not enought to stop the raid.
