  • President Madison Makes a Deal

    France and Britain are still attacking U.S. ships so Madison tries to make a deal with them. The embargo act forbids trade with another country.The embargo act only hurt America though.
  • Battle of Tippecanoe

    Tecumseh went south to find more allies and he told the Prophet to not do anything while he was gone. General Harrison attacked them when he was gone and they decided to fight without his permission and they weren't ready to fight. They lost the war and the battle was declared a victory for America.
  • Perry Captures British Fleet

    It was the Battle of Lake Erie. When the U.S. Navel Commander Oliver Hazard Perry captured a British fleet on Lake Erie. Nine U.S. vessels defeated and captured six vessels of the British Royal Navy.
  • Battle of Thames River

    This battle was a victory for the US over the British and Indian forces in Ontario, Canada. It allowed the US to take control over the northwest.
  • The British attack Washington D.C.

    During the war of 1812 the British troops entered Washington D.C. They burned the White House and the Capital. The attack was in retaliation for the American attack on the city of York in Ontario, Canada in June of 1812.
  • British Attack Baltimore

    This was a sea and land battle fought between the British and US forces during the War of 1812. The commander of the invading British forces was killed during this battle.
  • Battle of New Orleans

    This battle was fought between British troops led by General Edward Pakenham and the American forces led by General Andrew Jackson. Jackson and his troops successfully defended New Orleans against the British. The major fighting took place on the grounds of Chalmette Plantation.
  • Napoleon's Defeat

    When Napoleon's defeat allowed more British troops to take part in the war. It was called the Battle of Waterloo. It took place in Belgium.
