This was the beginning of a not so successful campaign, William took forces from Detroit in order to capture Canada. Capering Canada was one the main goals of the Americans during the war.

Shortly after his foray into Canada William hull was surprised by the size and preparedness of the British in Canada, he was forced to withdraw to Detroit and there he was overrun by a British counter offensive maneuver.

This was one of the most important naval victories in the war of 1812. Not because it was a large battle per say but it was a huge moral booster!

This battle is a very important one, American forces attacked a join Native American and British force. The outcome of the battle was an American victory, not only did the Americans win but Tecumseh was killed in the battle. This caused his confederacy to fall apart.

Because of his loss during the war of the 6th coalition Napoleon was banished to Elba. This Allowed the British to denote more resources and attention to the war with America. This as you can see would be a bad sign for the Americans.

This treaty puts an official end to the war of 1812, however since word was slow to spread in those days, quite a few battles happened after the signing of the treaty.
