Louis XIV is coronated as the new King of France

His Chief Minister, Mazarin ruled for him from 1643-1661.
However, when King Louis XIV is 23, Mazarin passes away, leaving King Luis XIV to attend government meetings on his own.

Storming of the Bastille

When angry citizens of France storm prisons and release prisoners.
They also steal gunpowder and a cannon.
The Bastille was a symbol of royal authority in Paris.

National Convention Meets

ALL males can vote rergardless of property ownership.
New changes arise from this meeting including;
De-christianizing, new metric system,and new calender system

Reign of Terror begins

The Reign of Terror begins, led by a Jacobin named Robespierre.
He caused mass madness and ordered thousands of innocent to be executed or imprisioned if they didn't agree with his radical views.
He held criminal courts that had five minute trials that ordered thousands of executions.

Marie Antoinette is executed

Marie Antoinette is executed, even though she had no participation in harming Revolutionaries.
