Timeline Of Influences

  • Birth

I was born in Fiji, which effected the way I grew up, the way I viewed certain things and my nationality. It has also influenced the way I see myself, Fijian's are tough, good natured, hard working people. I believe I have inherited some of the culture and beliefs from there.
  • My Religion

I wouldn’t be restricted by anything if my religion didn’t have the rules it did. Not that I hate the rules, I follow them because thats my culture, my way of life. My religion has very different ideas of what’s right and what’s wrong. Things I can and can’t do are very different to other religions. It has shaped my beliefs of what is real and what is fake, I believe in Allah and that he is the creator of everything.

    Timeline Of Life

  • Moving To Italy

Moving to Italy changed my life a lot, for example I really wanted to go to a school in Malaysia but I couldn't because we had to move. Also, my first school was in Italy and I was held back because I started late. A lot of my younger childhood years were spent in Italy. I got to visit a lot of places in Europe and it was an amazing experience. It was also where I first saw snow, which was quite a sentimental moment for me. It influenced where I wanted to be in the future, what country.
  • First School

My first school was in Italy, and I was terrifed because me and my brothers were the only Muslims and Malaysians there. The environment, the people, the projects I did all influenced how I thought of the world, what I thought of other people around the world and what I wanted to be when I grew up. My friends there showed me true friendship and it was the first time I had so many close friends. I really enjoyed that school and I think the people there are still effecting me today.
  • Leaving Italy

I was devastated when we had to leave Italy, it was such a beautiful country and I had seen so much of Europe. I was greatful that I had the chance to travel so broad. I had seen iconic monuments and met amazing people. I will never be able to forget my experience there. It has influenced my understanding of how different other countries are and how they evolve over the years.
  • Friends

Friends are people I see almost every day of the week, if I were friends with badly behaved people that would influence me, and make me feel like I needed to copy them to be accepted. If my friends have something I thought was nice or I really wanted it that would influence me to get it. How they act might also rub off on me.
  • Nexus

Nexus has changed me a lot, I am an entirely different person now than I was when I first came here. The environment, the teachers, peers, assignments all shape me and help me mature and grow. It changes my personality, how I think about certain things and whether I want to try new things or not.
  • When I First Started Reading

I have learnt a lot from the books I have read, they teach me things I can’t learn in school. They take up a lot of time in my head. I think about books that relate to a situation I am in and what is the right or wrong thing to do in that situation. They influence my beliefs, how I view certain things, they give me hope. They help me get through tough times by taking me to another world. A huge factor of my life that is influenced by books is what I want to be when I grow up; an author.
  • Gettting My Ipod

Technology influences the majority of teenagers in a way that can be good or bad. I think my Ipod has impacted my life quite a lot, if I didn't have it I wouldn't be constantly talking to my friends, or always looking at what some celebrity posted. It has also taught me lessons, such as how to be responsible for an expensive device.
