    Marries Julia

    Tiberius has to divorce his wife (Vispania) to marry Agrippas widow, Julia. Julia is also the daughter of Augustus making Tiberius the son in law of Augustus.

    Augustus gives him power for 5 years

    Augustus retired to Rhodes for 5 years and he gave Tiberius tribunican power until he returns. This was because Tiberius was married to Augusts's daughter. Tiberius's power was extended till Augustus returned to Rome in 2AD

    Upon the death of Augustus, Tiberius takes control of the Roman Empire. In this time he shares consulship with a number of people, many of which die under suspicious circumstances. He also arrests a number of political enemies he deemed dangerous such as Germanicus's widow and his son Nero.
