    The Declaration of Man and the Citizen being adopted
    This declaration was adopted by the National Assembly. It is based from the English Bill of Rights and our Declaration of Independence. It let all citizens to all have an equal ability in creating laws. It also ended the exemptions for certain groups of people from taxes.

    After a close vote on deciding whether the King should die or not, The National Convention declared that Louis XVI was to be killed by the guillotine. The killing of the king was important because it had angered the royalty throughout Europe.

    The Reign of Terror was a effort by the Committee of Public Saftey and the National Convention in response to foreign and domestic attacks against France. During the Reign of Terror, Revolutionary Courts were set up to prosecute enemies of the republic.

    End of The Reign of Terror
    Because Robespierre becoming very powerful and attempting to rid of France with anything that was corrupt, the National Convention voted in favor of beheading Robespierre with the guillotine. The death of Robespierre marked the end of the Reign of Terror as revolutionary fervors cooled down.
