Kirsten introduces herself to Dana on her first day working at K-5 Surf Shop in Encinitas. Dana asks for her number before he leaves work. They become fast friends and develop a mutual crush, until they part ways when Kirsten leaves for college.

We talk sporadically and run into each other when Kirsten is home from UCSB.

After studying abroad in Barcelona for a year, Kirsten returns to Encinitas. She thinks to herself, what's my old pal Dana up to? She calls him up.

While Kirsten is bedridden after a tonsillectomy, Dana visits her each day. When she starts to recuperate, Dana makes plans for Kirsten to meet his mom. This prompts the DTR talk (define the relationship). "Can I introduce you as my girlfriend?"

Dana moves to Santa Barbara to be with Kirsten during her last quarter at UCSB

We fly to SF for Dana's orientation at Art Institute San Fracisco CA. While scouting apartments, our dream of moving to SF becomes a near reality!

It seems like we've been in love forever, but we have a long future ahead of us.

We pack up our uhaul and drive 12 hours north to our new home in San Francisco! We find some furniture on the street and set up our first little apartment together.

We live in a shoebox in the Tenderloin with our bird brain parakeet, Dr. Peepers

We create a nice home for ourselves in the Inner Richmond district of San Francisco

A little green cheeked conure moves in to our apartment. She quickly takes over and rules our lives.

Dana takes Kirsten to their favorite romantic getaway, Bolinas Beach in Marin County. He sets up a picnic on the far end of the beach where only birds and surfers can be seen. Kirsten wonders, what are we doing here? Then Dana pops the question, they both cry, and savor the moment. That night all their best friends rush over to their apartment to pop champange.
