    I choose this decade because it was part of my childhood growing up; moreover, I believe the technology I used as a child affected my attitude toward tech now.

    To my surprise, on this day, the game "Sims" was first released! This was a huge change to computer history because prior games had just been designed to be goal-oriented. Sims was the first game where player got to choose the storyline.

    The Blu-ray was created by the Industry Consortium to compete with the DVD. This was a beneficial add to computer technology since blu-ray could read disc's that had more data. Blu-ray eventually won.

    This was a type of game system where you could move your arms, as well as jump around, and the game would mark your movements. I remember playing mariokart , boxing , and tennis.

    I may have used this a couple of times in school; it looks very familiar. This computer invention was constructed for the audience of teachers, students, and those who could use its teaching abilities. This invention could be used for the subjects of math, technology, and art.

    The iPhone was a mix of everything into one device. You were able to download applications, "Apps", from the App Store; among the applications, you could choose to download apps that had music, videos, messaging, or even games. This invention was impactful on computer history because of it's touch screen aspect.
