I remember watching the same VHS movies at my grandma's, Homeward Bound and Annie, when we go to visit because she had a VHS player. -
My Dad would go and rent a camcorder whenever it was our birthdays and he would record our birthday parties and videotape the entire day. -
My very first cassette was New Kids on the Block, I might have taken some money out of the savings jar to pay for it, but I was so excited to get it. I remember it was 8$ -
I remember getting a boombox for Christmas and thinking that I was so special because everyone wanted one. -
We got our first computer when I was about 13-14 years old. I can't remember when but I remember how cool I thought I was that I could do my research papers at home. Our computer was in the middle of the kitchen so it was always super noisy but we all fought to use the computer. -
My uncle owned a car dealership so all of my first cars were old cars that he had traded in that my Dad and him would work on. Needless to say I had like 4 cars in the 3 years of high school. My first car was a muscle car with a huge engine that was really embarrassing because it would peel out and everyone would look. But it had a 8 trax in it and everyone thought it was so cool because they had never seen one of those. -
The year I went off to college, I got a pretty new car. It was a purple/silver car and it had a CD player in it and I thought that was the best thing ever. -
I got my first cell phone, my second year in college. It was a flip phone. -
In our first year of marriage Chad and I both got our first smart (kind of) phones. We got blackberry's. -
Chad got a laptop from our brother in law, it was a military grade toughbook and so heavy. -
We now have newer laptops and iphones and it's funny to see how these will feel so old in just a few years.
