When playing with my dolls, I often pretended to be running a daycare center This one time I wrote a full price list for my center. The pricing included things such as late pick up pricing based on increments of 15 minute, prices for babies who only came part-time, prices for weekend babysitting, as well a a number of other items. My mom was running a home childcare program at the time, and when she saw my price list I remember her telling me "this is really good". I felt very proud that day.

I went on my first interview for a job in my field of study, early childhood education. I was offered the job on the spot, and I am now a teacher to 1 year old toddlers. I was extremely unhappy at my previous job, which was also not the career path I was pursuing. When I was offered the position at my current job, I felt as if a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. I am learning and experiencing new things about this field daily, which is growing my passion for early childhood education.
