  • Infancy example

    When I was three months through six months old I was known for being colicky. I would be fussy all day and then cry hard for about three hours every night. This shows that I was in the temperament stage of my social-emotional development.

    When I was 18 months I said my first word.,which was momma. This shows that I was in the single word phase of my language development. Here is a picture of me talking.

    When I was 2 1/2 years old I began to take steps using a walker.because of maturation, where my leg muscles got stronger. The Shows that I was in the toddler stage of my physical/motor development. In this picture I was taking steps in the walker.

    When I was in elementary school, I was very good at mental math problems. This shows that I was in the concrete operational stage of cognitive development because I knew how to use logic.

    When I was six I got my first stuffed animal that I remember. This shows that I was in the preoperational stage and I also used animism because I believed that it was a real living animal. Here is a picture of my stuffed animal Badges, Who has definitely helped me through tough times .

    When I was in elementary school, I knew I had to work hard to do well, so I developed a hard work ethic. This shows that I was in the self concept stage of my social-emotional development because having a ethic of hard work ethic is part of who I am. Here is a picture of me working hard at elementary school.
  • One additional time period

    As a child, I knew it was not a good idea to skip school because my mom would be mad at me and I would feel guilt. This shows I was in the conventional stage of my moral development because I obeyed the rules and didn't want to feel guilt from my mom.
  • Adolescence example 1

    When I was in middle school, I Learned to self advocate for myself, which is a logical thought process because I have to determine what issue I want to advocate, then talk to a teacher or parent or just an adult and then I have to work with the teacher to figure out what steps we need to solve the issue. This shows that I was in the Industry vs. inferiority stage of my social emotional development because I had to cope with social demands and learn some valuable life lessons.

    When I was 13 my voice started to change, because of puberty showing the physical changes of a adolescent in my physical/motor development.
