We learned about ven diagrams and what the difference is between biotic and abiotic. Biotic things are things that are alive, and abiotic are things that are dead.
-
Today we made 3 circles each of different things. Then we talked about why these three things were alike, and put them in a google docs.
-
The higher the consumer on the pyramid the less energy they can get.
-
We learned about ecosystems all over the world. We also learned about how the environment affects ecosystems, and learned about some animals in their ecosystem.
-
We talked about populations and wrote down definitions and drew a map of our class on a google docs.
-
We did an assignment on the science book and did a google docs spreadsheet on the usage of things we used in a year and wrote it down.
-
Today we divided things up into metal, wood, glass, plastic, and wax.
-
My object was a projector. a chemical prop. Is that it is probably not flammable, and if it was near a fire, it would melt. Because of the plastic.
-
I think it is a chemical prop. because their is a reaction in the air between cold air and hot air.
-
How can you tell what chemical properties a substance has? If is is flamable or if it has reactivity with other substances
-
- Ice cream melting is a physical change 2. A solid to a liquid is a physical change 3. cutting things
-
Physical change only changes water to a gas. Chemical change, changes it to a gas, but has different characteristics. Like the smell would change and the color, and you couldn't reverse it so that would be a chemical change.
-
I learned that that if you put iodine in cornstarch it turns black, looks thick and forms into spots in the cornstarch. I didn't know that would happen, so i thought it was interesting
-
I learned today that atoms have a nucleus and have a shell, and It also can transport through one thing to another.
-
What is a rule for making a positive ion. You have to have more protons than neutrons or electrons for it to be positive.
-
An electron determines an Ion, because it does not have a mass. An Nuetron determines an Isotope, because the charge stays nuetral, but changes the mass.
-
They represent the metals and not metals in the periodic table.
