    Ivan III

    Ivan III was called "Ivan the Great." He seperated from mongol rule. And then declared independence. he formed the land called muscovy.

    Ivan IV

    in 1547 Ivan IV conqured neiborhing territories. He ruled harshly, and he earned the name "Ivan the Terrible."
  • Peter the Great

    He wanted to obtain a warm-water port for trade. He also wanted to expand Russia's contact with Europe. He build a new capital- St. Petersburg.

    He invaded Russia to expand his empire and obtain food and supplies. He found that when he got to the city, it was burned down.
