    The Calling of Peter
    Peter was the very first disciple that Jesus call along with his brother Andrew .The apostle Peter was not hesitant ,he hasted at the biddings of Jesus when he said “come follow me ,I will make you fishers of men’’ .Peter’s name was Simone but was later change to Peter meaning ‘rock’ ,by Jesus.
  • Revelation to Peter

    Revelation to Peter
    Peter the spokesman, was credited with a special insight that he had concerning the identity of Jesus.
    Peter had the revelation that Jesus was the son of the living God-the Messiah.
  • Peter Rebukes Jesus

    Jesus, after predicting his death, was taken aside to be rebuked by Peter. Jesus however rebuked Peter by saying "Get behind me satan, you are a stumbling block to me, you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns".
  • Transfiguration

    Peter was an eye witness to numerous miracle that Jesus did and also the Shekhinah Glory along with James and John in the Transfiguration. This was where Jesus’ humanity was peeled back to reveal the glory of his divinity.
  • Gethsemane

    Peter was taken to keep watch with the Lord. When the soldiers were about to arrest Jesus, Peter stroke one of the ear off with a sword. He was reproved by Jesus.
  • Peter Disowns Jesus

    After Jesus was arrested, Peter followed behind. He was recognized by some young maidens, nut he denied Jesus trice before the rooster crowed, as prophesied by Jesus.
  • Transformed from Disciple to Apostle

    After Jesus gave the great commission, Peter and the other disciples were transformed to apostles of Jesus Christ. After the ascension of Jesus the designation of the apostle was in its full manifestation. The apostles were commissioned to proclaim the gospel to the earth of the kingdom of God.
  • The Day of Pentecost

    Peter was the first preacher on the day of Pentecost after the coming of the Holy Ghost. He was the first apostle to proclaim the gospel to the Gentiles.
  • Self Sacrifice

    Peter was willing to suffer persecution, imprisonment and beatings, and was exceedingly glad at the fact that he was worthy to suffer for the cause of Christ.
  • Jesus Reinstates Peter

    Jesus appeared to his disciples after his resurrection on the third occasion. Peter was reinstated on the third occasion, when Jesus appeared to them by the sea of Galilee.
  • Peter Heals the Lame Begger

    Peter and John were on their way to the temple when they came upon a beggar at the gate who asked them for money. Peter said "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk". The beggars jumped to his feet and praised God.
  • Peter before the Sanhedrin

    The Priests were greatly disturbed that Peter and John were proclaiming to the people, that Jesus was resurrected. They were put into prison until the next day. After their release, Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit, and ministered unto the priests "the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone".
  • Annais and Sapphira

    The believers were in one mind and shared their possessions. Annais and his wife Sapphira sold a piece of property, but kept back a portion of the money for himself.
    Peter asked Annais why he lied to the Holy Spirit, and Annais fell down and died. His wife, without knowing this came and was asked if that was the right price for the property. She lied, and Peter told her that she will die and be burried by the men who also burried her husband. At that moment, she fell down and died also.
  • Peter's Vision

    Peter went up on the roof to pray, he became hungry and fell into a trance. He saw heaven open and a large sheet being let down, containing all manner of animals. Then a voice told him to kill and eat. His response was he will not eat any unclean things. This happened trice, and the sheet was taken back to heaven.
    Peter was visited by three Jews from the house of Cornelius, who he later invited to be his guests.
  • Peter's Miraculous Escape from Prison

    King Herod seized Peter and put him into prison, guarded by four squads of soldiers. While Peter was in prison, the church prayed for him. The angel of the Lord appeared and aided in Peter's escape from prison.
  • Peter writes to the Church of Asia Minor

    Christians were being persecuted because of their faith, and Peter wrote to encourage them. He urged them to remember how much Jesus suffered for them, and to follow his example by trusting God to care for them.
    In his letter, he highlighted the following:
    Praise to God for living hope
    Be Holy
    The Living stone and the Chosen People
    Living Godly lives in Pagan society
    Suffering for doing good
    Living for God
    Suffering for being a Christian
  • Peter Re-writes the Church

    Peter wrote a second letter to the Christians he had written to before to teach them about the false teachers. In this letter, he highlighted the following:
    Confirming One's calling and Election
    Prophesy of Scripture
    False Teachers and their Destruction
    The Day of the Lord
  • Peter's Glorious Ending

    Peter was stretched out by his hand, he was dressed in prison grab and was taken to be crucified. He was crucified upside down because he felt unworthy to be crucified in the way that the Lord Jesus had been. From an arrogant man of thunder, he became a humble, willing, obedient servant of the Lord even to death. He rejoice in the day of his death knowing that he would be united with his beloved savior.
