my father was in a very bad car accident hit by a drunk driver. suffered immense pain and multiple surgeries for his cervical vertabrae and spinal cord.
-
all in the same day, passed my driving test and got hired at meijer :)
-
My dad needed to move closer to his job in order to keep his job and be comfortable enough from the day to day pain he developed from the surgeries post accident. So as a family we all moved to redford, mi. where i finished my last year of high school. It kind of sucked moving from my lifelong friends so close to finishing my h.s. But i will do anything for family.
-
Graduated from R.U. High School.
-
Started college at Northwood University....lasted about a year, could no longer afford the real college life, and moved back home with my parents.
-
N.U. was a bust for me...met lots of good friends but way to expensive for me.
-
this time i started at schoolcraft college.
-
Moved from Redford, MI to Marquette, MI...the great UP NORTH! tried classes at NMU for a little bit....but finaid and costs of living were too much, so I had to find work instead of school once again.
-
One of the greatest people I have ever known, very important to my life and upbringing passed away, my grandpa J.
-
It wasnt much, but it was a full-time job and it paid my main bills to allow me to live by myself.
-
I found the person I want to grow old with.....or I guess she found me, either way we are together atlast.
-
My Grandma J went to meet her hubby in heaven. The were high school sweethearts, true loves...and a great inspiration to me and anyone that knew them.
-
decided I could no longer make ends meet with losing my job at wal-mart and believed there was more opportunities down-state. I packed up and moved back to Redford, MI.

I had the honor of being part of history, with the clean up of one of the biggest oil spills...BP Deepwater Horizon. I was right at ground zero where the oil platform went down into the depths of the ocean. I got to work on a 285ft boat with a dutch crew, who brought there invention of the "sweeping arms" for the first time in the history of the U.S. I learned the in and outs of how they worked, I was aboard the boat for 4 straight months. something i'll never forget.
-
finally saved enough to get a ring to propose to my princess.
-
After a couple years in and out with the oil recovery business I learned that its a bunch of cut-throat type A people out there, that really only want to make money, and I had no real future in it. So after months of contemplating back and fourth I decided to go back to school and stay in school to get a degree in something that i've had a passion about for awhile now (I was just too afraid to want to do it, either I talked myself out because of the time it would take to acheive the degree etc.)
