    The beliefs of the NOI are different than modern day Islam because they lean more towards black nationalism, getting freedom, full equal opportunity and equal justice under the law. They believed that they should all be together as one through beleifs rather than integrated through society.

    There was a lot of hate from other people that did not agree with their beliefs. The people of the NOI were being persecuted against because of what they were fighting for. Both sides became very extreme towards another to get what the wanted.

    Once Malcolm X found out that his mentor was indulging in secret relationships with six other women that began to make Malcolm loyalty to Elijah weaker. When President Kennedy was assassinated Malcolm X made a comment on loud criticism and was silenced by Elijah. Malcolm ended up not being able to follow Elijah because of his deceptions and began his own religious group the Muslim Mosque inc.
