  • AB Review

    AB Review
Today, we took a long look back on what we learned during Calc AB and basic integration laws. I found that I need to take my time with the basics because although I finished quickly with the green worksheet, I did forget peices of the acrtrig integrals. I am eager to keep moving through the rest of our topics as I completed the review and felt fully refreshed on the AB material.

  • Exponentials and Logistics

    Exponentials and Logistics
Today we went over exponential growth, decay, and logistical growth. I thought it was a nice review as I forgot the exact formula for the logistical equation and what each variable stands for. I did think that I remember how to do problems involving these topics as I finished the worksheet given for homework.
  • Sequence and Series

    Sequence and Series
Today, we reviewed sequences and infinite series. I was pleased that I still remembered many of the tests that we used to prove convergence of a series as well the steps to finding the conergence and limit of a sequence. I am going to continue lloking over al these sheets however, becuase I would still like a refresher to make sure I have a progression of tests I can use for convergence and divergence of a series.
  • Polar Test Day

    Polar Test Day
Today, we took our test on polar calculus and I felt very confident with the material. It actually makes me want to have a polar free response because I feel as if the questions are very straight foreward. Also, I just enjoy the weird graphe that you can get out the the equations.
  • Power Series

    Power Series
Today, we examined the power series of various transcendental functions. I found that while I can derive the series I really need to review so I can use the most simple ones off the top of my head.
  • Free Response AP Practice

    Free Response AP Practice
Today, I took the free response section to the Ap practice test we were given in class. I made it a point to do it without my notes and on a time limit to get used to taking the test quickly and efficiently. I completed both sections with about 5 minutes of extra time and found that I understood all parts of the problems.
  • General Review Day

    General Review Day
Today, I went back over old notes and refreshed my memory on subjects that I thought I needed review on. I mainly went back over some of the common power series and some of the more complex differential equations.
  • First Day of Partner AP

    First Day of Partner AP
Today, David and I went through the practice AP exam given to us in class. We completed the calculator portion quickly and without a lot of disagreement. We did disagree about one problem but we were able to come to an agreement on what we believed to be the right answer. We were moving quite quickly through the noncalculator portion as well when the bell rang.
  • Finish Partner AP

    Finish Partner AP
Today, David and I finished the non calculator section of the partner AP test. It took suprisingly longer than the first part we did yesterday and was, in my opinion, more challenging. We did find that we did understand the material and felt comfortable with it.
  • Advanced Integration Techniques

    Advanced Integration Techniques
Today, we looked back over advanced integration techniques. I was very pleased with what I remembered. I found the worksheet to be a very nice refresher especially for the types of indeterminate for and the Hospital's rule. Although, I was slightly dissapointed that there would be no trig sub on the test.
  • Sequence and Series Part 2

    Sequence and Series Part 2
Today, we went back over series and sequence. I feel much more confident about working with various power and Maclaurin series. I enjoyed the powerpoint and will be sure to review that and the standard power series before the test.
  • Test Corrections

    Test Corrections
Today, we went over our tests in class. Both the partner, which David and I found that we did very well on and the takehome test, which I found went well. I was dissapointed at some of my dumb mistakes but found that I understood the material without much complication.
  • Test Corrections Pt. 2

    Test Corrections Pt. 2
Today, I went over and reviewed my takehome test. I found that much of what I got wrong simply required recomputing it in the calculator. I found that I had much of the conceptual material down. Even when I would mess up computing the final answers to some of the parts, I found that the work would get me many of the 9 points.
  • More on Taylor

    More on Taylor
Today, I was out of ideas with what to do exactly so I advanced on the pink optional taylor series sheet. I find that with more and more practice I am getting more efficient and can compute taylor series for the common series even quicker. I then went back to the last question on the takehome test and looked at it again and wondered what exactly I did on the last part. The work was solid and I reached the answer but I said that C (the constant of integration) was zero when it should not have bee
  • Last Day of Sequence and Series I Promise

Last Day of Sequence and Series I Promise
I went back today and looked through the powerpoint we went over in class on Thursday. I also went back and reviewed La Grange because I wanted to just sure up my understanding of it.
  • PREGAME

    PREGAME
Today, felt confident and ready. Planning on reviewing my KYSC sheet and getting to sleep early.
  • Big Game

    Big Game
Today, we took our AP Calculus BC exam. I was happy to see polar on it. However, I was suprised at how many questions only required AB knowledge.
