I was born at The Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. My parents are Don and Cathy Putnam.

I was diagnosed with a language disorder in 2004, I couldn't talk.

I started school in Grand Rapids Elementary School in Grand Rapids, Ohio.

I was 4.5 years old before I could talk. My parents prayed that I would learn to speak and cried tears of joy when it happened.

This was a big event in my life. I was 10 years old and I didn't know how to balance, even my younger sister could do it. My parents and I were both happy that obstacle had been eliminated.

Entered in sixth grade, and that was the end of being in the same class all day. Every subject was in a different classroom. I also started riding the bus to school on a daily basis.

I worked hard at keeping good grades and kept a positive attitude and was a positive role model.

I was excited to start High School and there were a lot more people in the building. I had great teachers that year and they helped me be successful. I also joined the Cross Country team that summer before I started, and I got to know a lot more people.

I attended my first digital media class, and it was life-changing. I learned so much and played around with iMovie, it can do incredible things. This is something I would like to pursue as a career.

During my Junior year, I was inducted into the National Honor Society. It made me feel very proud of my hard work, especially since everything is extra hard for me because of my language disorder.
