I always use to ask my parents for a little sister for Christmas not aware of how babies work. Me and my sister are 7 years apart, but my 2nd grade undeveloped brain thought that she would pop out and be my exact age. Unfortunately that was not the case. It was well known that i was going to be having a sister in GSS. So anytime i got picked up early i was always asked if the time has come. -

When i was just the young age of 8 i witnessed my best friend and her mother get hit by a truck which was being driven by a drunk driver. Even though me and kayla attended different schools being as we lived on the opposite sides of town when we danced together nothing could separate us. Our moms purposefully put us in the same classes together because thats how close we were. Tap ballet jazz and hip hop were the classes we would take together. -

Being in a family full of girls it was hard to get attention from specific people in the family. Especially my grandma.. Being as though i was the only granddaughter living the closest to her. I ended up spending lots of time with her. She was my go to for everything. she was the only to blame for my shopping addiction and the reason why i never have gas money. Her death had a big impact on my life because my grandpa favorites my sister -
irrational fear
In one of the many times i have been to orlando florida. I made my dad come to universal with me being as i had no friends who wanted to go with me that year. Many times as i kid i remember my dad telling me he can't go on rides that spin. knowing this i picked the rides i went on very carefully. As we approached the spiderman i didn't think that it would be very harmless. neither did my dad because he went on. Only to later blow chunks on the ride. I am now terrified of throw up. -

Every year since freshmen year my family has taken trips to Florida as a vacation every may/April. This year i was able to take a friend. I took my best friend liz karaqi with me. Yes she has been with my family but not for a 19 hour road trip and a weeks long vacation. As we are driving through new jersey, my dad starts talking. no one was really listening to him until he said. 42 degrees? thats only 3 degrees above 39. and that was it. my mom starts laughing which ended up making us laugh too -

in 5th grade my only brother figure was sent away to federal prison for 8 years. and just like that he was gone forever around 8th grade my mom decided to reconcile and get in contact with him. For four years i emailed him and talked to him over the phone for only 15 minutes and we only visited him twice. This past may my mom picked me up from school to go to a dentist appointment while going inside to get paper work my whole family surprised me with my cousin and the fact that he was home. -
Arizona
This past summer i traveled to arizona with my family. My grandpa lives out there so we had somewhat of a reason to take the spontaneous trip. we have take this same trip in 2014 which i wasnt too impressed with it because we didn't do much. So this time i wasnt too excited to go. We took a road trip to vegas and it was 5 hours. That was the moment i realized how beautiful arizona is and how beautiful the desert is. It was so peaceful to just look out of the window and admire the view. -

When i was about 4 one of my close family friends moved to florida. Growing up it was very hard to keep in contact with her. As a family my mom would try to organize trips down to disney so i could see her. As time went on other things grew more important and the trips stopped. As a kid me and bella would always talk about how one day she would move back so we could finally see each other without buying a plane ticket. This summer finally she made the move and came back to new york for school -

I've always seen friends and people in general have surprise parties thrown for them for their birthday. i always thought that it was such a crazy concept to have someone care about you enough to secretly plan something for you. i ALWAYS wanted one. but as years went on i never got one. on my birthday this year i sat in my bed and watched movies. my mom sent me out to go get pizza since family was coming over for cake. I came home to a house full of friends and a party just for me! -

last week i was lucky enough to go see one of my favorite artists in concert. Jcole is a rapper. Some might think because of the stigma that he just raps about girls sex and money. But he doesn't. The album previous to the one he just released is about how his friend was caught up in some bad stuff and this album was made for his daughter. With a brother figure in prison i related to this album so much and it got me through some really tough times in my life
