    Benjamin Franklin invented the bifocals, which are glasses that use the upper half for distance and the lower for reading.

    Jenner was the first person to administer a smallpox vaccine. He tested it on an 8 year old boy by scratching cowpox into him. He got one blister and recovered quickly after.
