Me

By uhcakip
  • Birth

I was born on September 5th, 1998 in Saint Mary's Ohio at 8 in the morning.
  • Moving

When I was just one week old, we moved from Columbus Ohio to Fort Wayne Indiana to be closer to my grandparents who lived there. It would be the town I would live most of my life in.
  • 9/11

On this day in American history, there were 3 planes that were hijacked by terrorists, and one of them hit the Pentagon. My soon to be grandfather was supposed to have a meeting there on the west side of it. If it were not for that meeting to get moved that day he might not have been alive to this day, and I am very thankful for that.
  • First Day of School

I was finally going to school, and enrolled kindergardener at Indian Village Elementary. I would meet many people that I would know later in life, but I only went there for a few years, so many of our memories do not come from elementary school.
  • Marrage

This would be the day that my father John Owen and my mother Mary O'Claire would get married. They had known each other for only a few years (he would be my step father) and was finally apart of the family. He would soon move in with us and be the father that I had wanted for so long.
  • New School

I would make a change of schools for the first time in my life, and certainly not the last. The first change occured after 2nd grade, where I would leave Indian Village and start attending a charter school owned by Ball State. The school was known as Imaging MASTer Academy, and was really just a experiment. I would attend here until 6th grade, where I would once again change schools.
  • Name Change

I was known for my whole life as Nathan O'Claire until the day that my step father adopted me. I was then known as Nathan Owen. It was a big deal to me, as I thought it was cool to have a new name. I could have had my name be O'Claire-Owen, but i was happy with just Owen.
  • Another Addition to the Family

On this day, my younder half-brother Matthew would be born. This was a huge change to the family, as it ment that some of the attention would have to be shared with him. He was born at about 8 at night.
  • Another New School

Once my parents had decided that Imagine was just a joke of a school, they decided to re-enroll me into the public school system. I would be in middle school this time, so I was to attend Kekionga Middle School. This is the part where all those people that I met in elementary school finally made connections with me, and I began to talk to many of them.
  • Final New School (so far)

Finally I would be in high school, now attending New Tech Academy. I was very excited, as I had heard all about the school a whole 3 months before. I was able to make the cut and was on my way to more responsibility. This is currently the school I attend, and hopefully not the last.
  • School Time Change

The FWCS school district decided to move back the starting and ending times for high schools to 9:05 and 4:10, respectively. This time change would make it so that studens would get more sleep at night, but cause many troubles too. One struggle that many students (including me) have had is that student athletes are going to have problems maintaining a job and going to practice and events.
