On the first day of leadership class, we completed a couple 'ice-breaker' activites with each other to meet our new classmates and introduce ourselves. Ms. Gaine and Ms. Tuatagaloa introduced us to leadership by showing us a Ted-Talk about 'lollipop moments.'

All leadership students presented a slideshow that briefly described the jobs and achievements of three leaders. Students ranked the leaders from 1-3 based on how much they would like to follow them throughout the school year.

On this day, the two leadership classes voted and elected our student council members, including the president, vice president, historians, secretaries, and treasurers.

On this day, we presented a timeline based on at least 15 significant events that occured in our living leaders' lives.

On September 21st, the Del Market opened for the first time to sell snacks to Del Mar Students.

On this day, we presented our Hispanic Heritage Day Slide Show to our assigned advisories. We talked about the countries President/Leaders, the Map of country, Flag, Population, History/ origin (when was it founded), Fun Facts, Current Events, Customs, Culture, Traditions, Celebrations, Holidays, Food, and Clothing

On this day, we went to Reed and Bel Aire for the first day of the TA program. We met with the principal about the program, where we were given a lecture about what to do at the school and with the students.

On this day, we went to Blackie's pasture to meet the Portuguese president for the unveiling of the new mural that was being shipped to Tiburon from Portugal. We got to shake hands with the president, and he gave a speech about the bond between Tiburon and Portugal.

Leadership held a pep rally to get students excited and show their school spirit. The Trimester 1 Dragons of the Trimester awards were given out during the pep rally.

On this day, leadership held a halloween costume contest where Del Mar students dressed up in their halloween costumes and walked across the amphitheater stage in front of a couple judges.These judges decided on the best costumes, to whom the students who wore them were given a prize.

On this day, we presented four successes and a fail in our living leaders' lives to our class.

On this day we attended a concert performed by students at Reed school, led by Mr.Gist.

On December 14, we held a contest in which students would dress up in festive, holiday clothes and acessories. The judges would decide the winner (had the best outfit), who would recieve a prize.

The annual food drive started on February 6, where students were able to bring in non-perishable food items to be donated to the SF Marin Food Bank. Thousands of pounds of food were donated in total.

On this day, we were assigned advisories to go to during lunch to give a presentation about No One Eats Alone Day.

The Del Mar dance took place on March 10, where students were able to dance with their friends to upbeat, hiphop music. The gym, where the dance took place, was decorated with neon lights and decorations to match with the theme of the dance - glow in the dark.

On this day, we designed colorful collages to represent all of the qualities and aspects of a leader.

On this day, Student Council had a meeting with the Del Mar Middle School Board to inform them about all the amazing things leadership class has organized and done this year.

On this day, we presented to our class on what our living leader was doing around that time.

During this day, we held a talent show where students would show our school their talents. Many students signed up to show off their talents, such as playing and instrument and singing.

On this day, we visited Reed and Bel Aire for the last time of the TA program.

On this day, we will have our last day of leadership. This has been an amazing year, and we have all learned so much. We are all looking forward to what next year will bring.
