    da Vinci really was greatly interested in studying the structure of the body and showing similiarities of performance, the center of gravity an resistance. He identified different pieces of the body and the mechanics going along with it.

    William Harvey was the first to study the circulation of blood flow through the body and thought that the heart the blood was restored with "heat and vital spirit". Stensen later made the conlcusion that the heart was just a muscle. He also came to the conclusion that muscles are fibers.

    Nicolas Andry came up with the term orthopedics. His idea was that skeletal deformities result from inbalances in muscles. He came to the discovery it all started at a young age.

    Samuel Haughton wrote several in depth articles about muscular mechanics. Many of Haughton's ideas were taken from a method called the chronologic reproduction of movement. Janssen, an astronomer was the one who originally figured out this method by studing pictures of venus indicating human movement.

    By the beginning of the 19th century people began inventing important instruments of use for Kinesiology. Angelo Mosso invented the ergograph in 1884 and is an indispensable tool for the human body.
