In the end Israel accepted on July 20th the agreement was signed.

    On October 6th Egypt launched an sudden attack against the Israel forces on the east banks of the Suez Canal at the same moment, which was agreed upon, Syrian armies attacked the Israelis in the Golan. At first the Egyptian armies successfully crossed the Canal and establish a bridgehead. The Syrians also controlled part of the Golan. However in the next few days the Israeli were able to cross the east banks and established their own bridgehead, which drove the Syrians back towards Damascus.
