    The norman invasion was the invasion of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of England by the Normans led by William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy, which culminated with the victory of the invaders at the Battle of Hastings on 14 October 1066, who settled on the island so their control.This event was so important in the history of England. The Norman conquest brought with it also linguistic and cultural changes.
