Freshman timeline

  • 1st day of classes!

yay! you made it to the first day! this is a momentous occasion. Your first week of classes is probably just going to be comprised of the reading of syllabi so you can relax for a few more days.
  • Scheduling for your next semester

This is the first time that youre scheduling on your own. GO SEE YOUR ADVISOR! seeing your advisor is really important because if you miss an important class it could withold your graduation in the long run.
  • Your 1st breakdown

I dont mean to scare you, but youre going to have a few of these over the course of the next few years. The first one usually happens right before thanksgiving break. Dont make any rash decisions and STAY CALM! call your parents or talk to your friends to get some perspective on your issue whether its based on your major, homesickness or anything else.
  • Your first semester is over!

You did it! you've finished your first semester as a college student. That is absolutely praise worthy so when you go home for christmas break, you should expect lots of praise from your relatives, and hey you totally deserve it!
  • 1st day of 2nd semester

If youre attending a religious institution you'll most likely have a longer break but this is when most universities return to school to begin the second semester.
  • 2nd semester complete: initiate summer!

leaving is pretty bittersweet but youre excited for the sun. get out there and get that tan, just be sure to meet up with classmates over the summer!
