    1618-48
    The Thirty Year War was caused by a religious conflict that happened in Europe. The thirty-year war is called the thirty-year war for a reason and that's because during the event they had many wars. The Bohemian Revolt, Battle of Sabla, Battle of White Mountain, Battle of Wiesloch / Mingolsheim, Battle of Wimpfen, and much more. The thirty-year war is important in history because it affected most of Europe. Many parts of Europe were involved in this war and many people died for this war.
  • English Bill of Rights

    English Bill of Rights
    The English Bill of Rights became an act signed into law in 1689. The Glorious Revolution was going on from 1688-89 during the English Bill of Rights act. Political and religious motives sparked the revolution, making so much tension going on. The English Bill of Rights is important because they include much like a list of King James’s misdeed. It also includes the freedom to elect members of Parliament without the king or queen’s interference, freedom to petition the king, and much more.
  • War of the Austrian Succession 1740-48

    War of the Austrian Succession 1740-48
    A conglomeration of related wars, two of which developed directly from the death of Charles VI. France supported Charles VI and was against Austria, their enemy. Frederick II of Prussia invaded Silesia, one of the richest Habsburg provinces. His army defeated the Austrians at Mollwitz in April 1741 and overran Silesia. It's important because was the last Great Power conflict with the Bourbon-Habsburg dynastic conflict at its heart. It marked the rise of Prussia as a major power.

    The stamp act happened in an effort to raise funds to pay off debts and defend the new American territories won by the French in the Seven Years’ War. The colonists had recently been hit with three major taxes: the Sugar Act. The Currency Act (1764), which caused a major decline in the value of the paper money used by colonists was also going on during the act. This is all-important, it helped replenish their finances after the costly Seven Years' War with France.

    The American Revolution was caused by colonial opposition to British attempts to impose greater control over the colonies and to make them repay the crown. The Stamp Act, Boston Tea Party, Boston Massacre was going on during the American Revolution. And some battles like the Battle of Quebec. It's important because it secured the independence of the United States from the dominion of Great Britain and separated it from the British Empire. It also created our nation and the first to define it.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    The Treaty of Paris was created at the end of the American Revolution to create peace. The treaty ended the French and Indian war. Because of the treaty, France gave up all its territories in mainland North America, effectively ending any foreign military threat to the British colonies there. The Treaty of Paris is important because it did end the American Revolution which also ended up creating peace for everyone. The treaty also had many good terms to keep everyone in a good place.

    Once the Estates-General had failed, the representatives of the third estate and their newly created National Assembly moved to the nearby tennis court in order to carry out their own discussions. This was going on all during the french revolution with the estate problem. The third estate was angered with the inaction of the Estates-General and upset with their position in French society. They did this all because of their level and the taxing. It also showed the growing unrest against Louis XVI

    French Revolution 1789-99
    The French Revolution happened because of the widespread discontent with the French monarchy and the poor economic policies of King Louis XVI. One cause was when the king left his country almost bankrupt. There were heavy taxes on everyone including the third estate. The taxing helped cause the people to be mad and start a Revolution. It's all-important because the French Revolution played a critical role in shaping modern nations by showing the world the power inherent in the will of the people
  • Storming of the Bastille

    Storming of the Bastille
    On the east side of Paris, Bastile was attacked by an angry mob. Soon the royal authorities transferred 250 barrels of gunpowder to the Bastille. Than two days later, a great crowd armed with muskets, swords, and various makeshift weapons began to gather around the Bastille. This is important because this helped cause the French Revolution to happen. It also helped cause Louis and his wife Marie-Antoinette to be sent to the guillotine for treason in 1793.

    Reign of Terror 1793-94
    The Reign of Terror was known to be created during a period of violence in France. During the Reign of Terror, it killed many people in both years, maybe about 50,000. This was almost impossible to stop and terror became the revolution. This is all-important in history because now we know what also went on during the French Revolution. We also know that people were killed for reasons or for no reasons during this.
