7,000 working women marched in the rain from Paris to Versailles. The women chanted "Bread! Bread!" because the people were starving. They saw Marie Antoinette and she said "let them eat cake", but that didn't made them feel better. The mob entered and demanded so see the queen. THe women demanded the king to distribute bread to paris and they used Marie as a bargain chip.
