the lower class in France was forced to pay expensive taxes so normally they ended up not having any money left for themselves. meanwhile the nobility paid no taxes and lived a life of pleasure and happiness. -

In this era people were divided into three groups or Estates the nobility who lived a life of luxury and didn't have to pay taxes the Catholic who owned about 10% of the land and only had to pay 2% of their income to the government, and in the Third Estate( which was divided into two) the middle class which were bankers and Factory owners and other workers and the lower class which were the poor and hungry citizens of France -

After the terrible decisions, the unfair taxes King Louie started to face the consequences becoming more and more in-dept, especially since now his wife I was trying to help him in the government ( but failing) -
