The reason why its called the Tennis Court oath is because the delegated got locked out of the meeting room. So they broke down the door and they happend to have a new constitution. Soon aftere membres of the clergy ruled in favor so shortly after the king moved the mercenary swiss army to the Versailles palace. The jacobins convicted him of treason and the converntion ruled in favor of the Jacobins by a close vote. Louis walked up with pride up the steps and he was beheaded. This is important becase the former king died.
