  • Economic Event

    Samuel De Champlain established a trading post near Quebec to trade fur the Natives. This place was called Stadacona and he was ordered to do this by the King of France

    The King of France granted the monopoly of fur trade to the company of a hudnred associates
  • Social Event

    Paul Chomedy de Maisonneuve established Montreal to try to convert the natives into becoming catholic. It was deep inside the native territory and it was called Ville-Marie.

    The King of France implemented this gouvernement which basically gave him the power to do anything because after granting the monopoly of the fur trade to the companies of a hundred associates, he realized their destroying the colony and he had the change that
  • Population Event

    Jean Talon was chosen to be the intendant of New-France and his role was too populate New-France. He used many different methods to get people to immigrate here. By 1760, the population rised by 67000 people.

    The King of Great Britain instaured the Royal Proclamation which is a document which states the laws of the colony and this happened because the French lost the war and New-France became a british colony
