The 3rd estate members who were locked out of an Estates-General meeting held meeting in an indoor tennis court. There, all of them (but one) took an oath to stay together. This was signifigant because this was the first real action taken against the king of France during the Revolution.

A major symbol in the French Revolution, the Storming of the Bastille was an attack by French revolutionaries on the royal authority. There were only a few prisoners in the Bastille but tons of weapons were stockpiled within. This gave the militia force access to weapons they would need to stand up against the military.

The Women's March on Versailles was a signifigant early event of the French Revolution. It started with a group of women who were angry about the high price and scarcity of bread and over time grew into a huge mob that marched and ransacked weapons.

The French Royalty tried to escape Paris dressed as servants, in order to go hide and start a counter-revolution.They only made it to a small town named Varennes before being recognized and arrested.

Heaps of people crowded at Champ de Mars to sign a petition demanding the removal of the king. The National Guard tried to prevent this and disperse the large group, which resulted in stones being thrown by the group. After warning shots were fired, the Guard opened fire on the petition signers.

The Declaration of Pillnitz declared the support of the Holy Roman Empire and Prussia for the King of France against the revolution.
