Birth of my 2 Brothers Leonard and Julian
  • Infancy: Sleep

As a kid, I did not sleep as much as my parents wanted me to. I woke up at night a lot and wanted to be fed or I started crying randomly. Overall, I still think that I got 16-17 hours of sleep throughout the day/night.
  • Infancy: First word

My parents don't remember the first word that I have said but they know that my brothers first word (who is the same age) was "aber" which means "but" in English.
  • Infancy: Physical Development

In order to develop my gross motor skills, my parents went to a swim class with me and my siblings. We also were always encouraged to crawl around and my parents helped us to start walking pretty early on. Fine motor skills were developed with the help of toys like blocks or legos.
  • Infancy: Cognitive Development

Sensimotor Stage: During this stage, my parents helped me a lot with my cognitive development. They challenged me with physical tasks and let me meet up with other kids in my age to learn from them.
  • Infancy: Temperament

As a kid, my temperament classification was definitely high surgency/extroversion. Since I am a triplet, we were always interacting and very active, happy kids. Therefore, my parents had a lot of work with us and were overwhelmed at times but I think that would have happened anyways with three kids at once. Overall, I think that my parents goodness of fit was excellent because they always wanted to interact with us and keep us active.
  • Early Childhood: Strategies to increase Language Development

I remember that my parents read a lot of books with us and made us point at the items and name them. If we didn't say a word correctly or we made grammar mistakes, my parents would always repeat what we said in the right way so that we would know better next time.
  • Early Childhood: Memory

I think my first memory was building a fort in my living room with my brothers. It must have been at the age of 3 or 4 years.
  • Early Childhood: Strategies to cope with stress

When I was a kid I didn't really do well coping with stress. I remember crying a lot and just getting angry at everything. Once I got older, I developed better stress coping mechanisms.
  • Early Childhood: Attachment Style

I was definitely securely attached to my parents. I remember in kinder garden, I was always excited for my mom to come and pick us up and we had a great relationship. I want to say that I was almost too attached to my parents because until I was about 8 years old, i could't even stay away from my parents for one night without starting to cry. This got better once I reached late childhood.
  • Early Childhood: Cognitive Development

Preoperational Stage: during this stage of Piagets development, I was encouraged to paint a lot and play with other kids my age which helped my physical development. At the end of this stage I entered elementary school and got introduced to a lot of new materials.
  • Middle/Late Childhood: Strategies to discuss emotion

My parents always handled our emotions very well. Since we were triplets and we were all in the same age, we would get in a lot of fights. Most of the times, they would just let us solve the conflict by ourselves. Whenever that did not work out, they send everyone to their room and came up to us individually to talk to us. They asked us why we were feeling that way and what we could have done to solve the conflict ourselves or what we would do better in the next situation.
  • Middle/Late Childhood: Physical Development

During childhood, I played a lot outside and engaged in running and playing sports to develop my gross motor skills. In order to develop my fine motor skills, I painted and drew a lot.
  • Middle/Late Childhood: Language

I learned my second language English in elementary school when I was 6 years old. It was easy to learn for me.
  • Middle/Late Childhood: Sleep

Throughout my childhood, my parents made sure that I got a lot of sleep during the night. Up until fourth grade, I was only allowed to stay up until 8 pm and had to go to bed early. This helped me to get at least 12 hours of sleep at night because I was not able to take a nap during the day.
  • Middle/Late Childhood: Memory

In elementary school, the main method for me to remain information was to repeat the task over and over again. That is what I did with my parents to remember words and also at school to for example in order to remember how to do a math problem
  • Late Childhood: Sleep

Once I got older and went to middle school, my parents stopped telling me when to go to bed and they let me and my siblings decide what was the best time for us to go to sleep so that we would not be tired all day long. I normally went to bed quiet early to get at least 10 hours of sleep a night because I had soccer in the evenings and wanted to feel good for it.
  • Late Childhood: Physical Development

During late childhood, I joined an organized soccer team which helped my physical development and developed my gross motor skills. Starting to play piano developed my fine motor skills.
  • Late Childhood: Physical Development

Concrete operational stage: During this stage, I was more challenged in school with for example math problems that were difficult for my age. I also started reading books about topics that I was interested in to develop my cognitive abilities.
  • Adolescence: Language

I learned my second language, French, when I was in sixth grade. I never really liked learning it but I still didn't have any issues progressing in it.
  • Adolescence: Cognitive Development

Formal operational stage: At this age, I entered a special school in Germany that was suited for children that were easy learners. We were all challenged with learning new languages and doing science projects and things that were bringing us forward.
  • Adolescence: Begin of Puberty

I started puberty at about the same age that my friends started puberty so I never felt uncomfortable. At the same time that I started my period for the first time, I grew a lot which made me feel bettter about my body. I gained a lot of confidence through puberty.
  • Adolescence: Language

I learned my fourth language, Spanish, when I was in eighth grade. I never had any issues learning it because it was very similar to the languages that I had earned before that.
  • Adolescence: Dialect

Since I am from a very rural area in Germany, I remember speaking a lot of dialect with the friends at my school. We made up words for different people or parts of our school that only people who went to my school would understand. For example, we created a word for the lunch room at our school which was called "caff" and noone else would understand what we were talking about.
  • Adolescence: Memory

In order to remember information that I needed to know for school, i was really good at organizing the information. I loved to write summary sheets and would read the over and over again in order to retain the information.
  • Adolescence: Sleep

As an adolescent entering high school, I started getting less sleep during the night because I got home from soccer very late. Most of the times, this only allowed me to sleep about 6 to 7 hours a night. I could feel the lack of sleep during the day and I was almost always tired and exhausted during my school day. This didn't help my academic performance at all. Therefore, I started taking naps whenever I had the time to do so.
  • Adolescence: Coping with Stress

    Adolescence: Coping with Stress
In adolescence, working out helped me a lot with my emotions. If I had something to think about or was not sure about how to make a decision, I would just go on a run and let my mind wander. After that, most of the times I felt way better about my problems or my decision.

  • Early Adulthood: Sleep

Whenever I entered college, my sleep schedule changed quiet a bit. I had to go to bed pretty early to get at least 8 hours of sleep during the night. My soccer practice started at 6:30 am so I needed enough sleep to be energetic enough to get through practice and a whole day of classes.
  • Early Adulthood: Physical Development

Up until this day, I haven't noticed any decline in my senses. Even though I listen to loud music a lot of times, I don't have any issues with hearing or any other senses of mine.
  • Early Adulthood: Identity Development

I think that my current identity status corresponds to the identity achievement stage. I never questioned who I am as a person and I don't want to change who I am.
  • Early Adulthood: Identity Development

The results from the online test reflected an accurate representation of myself. It said that I preferred traditional and familiar experiences, and the I am very well organized. I'm neither social or reserved and I am good-natured, courteous and supportive. I'm neither nervous or calm. All of these attributes describe me pretty well and i don't think that my personality has changed at all throughout my lifetime. The only thing that I can think of is that I might have gotten a little more open.
  • Early Adulthood: Family History and Health

My family has been very healthy as long as I can remember. No one has ever been severely ill and all of my grandparents lived until they were over 90 years old. In order to stay healthy like them throughout my whole life, I am trying to eat healthy like I learned from my parents and exercise regularly.
