    there was debate over Jesus' divinity, Arianism, and the affects of the debate increase the intermingling between Rome and the Church. This council was important because it would decide what Jesus' divinity was and this would affect future generations' beliefs

    this debate was over Jesus' two natures. Extra-biblical terms are used to expound on ideas in scripture. The decision of this council would also affect future generations' beliefs.

    The church began to separate east and west. the west beginning to be attacked by barbarians. The crusades would eventually happen after this and separate the east an west church even more. The east and west churches split which disunified them. They split because they weren't sure which religious leaders had more power.

    Martin Luther was brought before religious leaders and they asked him: Are these your books? Will you recant them? Luther answered yes to the first one but wasn't sure on the second one. They gave him a day to think. When they asked him both quetions again,he said yes to the first one. He said that his writing were harsh but he wouldn't recant them. He said that unless his writings were proven wrong by scripture, he would not recant

    The Edinburgh Missionary Conference
    over a thousand men and women met to disuss about expanding Christianity to the rest of the world. It was very successful, even though there were many martyrs. By 2010, about 2,185,000,000 would come to God and know Christ. That's about 1/3 of the worlds population. This conference helped expand Christianity and showed how unified Christians were even with there different views on theology

    Charlemagne was crowned emperor of the Roman empire by Pope Leo lll. This did unite the east and west more, but there was debate over the crowning of Charlemagne. This lead to the great schism over 200 years later
