Anti-Christian attacks are rising especially on the Gaza Strip since Hamas started leading the territory. A Christian bookstore in Gaza City, run by the Holy Bible Society, was bombed.

Six months after the bombing of the bookstore, the manager was stabbed and shot to death.

Orissa, India was the most violent pogrom. In 2008, a series of riots broke out attacking Christians leaving 500 dead, thousnad injured, and 50,000 left homeless.

Islamic millitants invaded a Catholis Church in Baghdad on Oct.31, 2010. This invasion left the 2 Catholic preists celebrating the mass dead along with 58 others. This event was not precedented though because of the 65 Christian churches in Baghdad, 40 have been bombed since the begining of 2003. On January 5-6, 2012, Boko Haram spokesmen bombed christian churches in the northern Yobe and Borno states. These bombings left 26 dead, and many missing because they fled the area during the bombings.

The al-Shabab is a group of radical muslim youth that swears alligence to the al Qaeda leader. On September 21, 2013, the al- Shabab attacked the Westgate mall in Nairobi, Kenya. They gunfired and threw grendaes in the mall and left 72 dead amd 63 missing.

Two suicide bombers bombed a Christian Church in Peshwar on September 22, 2013. This left 83 dead and 150 injured. The pope said about the persecution of Christians, " So many Christians in the world are suffering. So many brothers and sisters in the famiy are giving their lives for Jesus Christ."
