Leaving Me
My mother and father decided that it would be better for us to go to America, even though we are very wealthy here in Ireland. I have to finish school before I go. -
Finally Done!
I finished school and I bought my way onto the ferry to go to Ellis Island. I'm scared but I know it's worth it. -
Voyage
I know I'm going to miss Ireland, but America is going to be great! I brought as much jewelry as I can carry for money. The voyage has started and I'm exited to come to America. -
Arrived
It's so crowded at Ellis Island and there are many sick people here, my sympathy goes to them, but I don't need to worry. I bumped in a man about my age names Niall McHoran. I'm through Ellis Island and coming to America. -
Reunited
I found my parents in little amount of time, we were finally all together, just like in Ireland. The house was amazing, but the place we lived in had some strange people. Late nights in America is weird and loud. -
Introducing Niall
I finally decided to introduce Niall to my parents. They didn't like him, I could tell it was because of the way he dressed and act, he was different but my parents did not approve. -
Learning New Things
America is weird. It's different than Ireland, but I think I like it, everything besides the working. I needed to help support my family and our wealth so I decided to get a job and start working in factories. One factory fired me because I was Irish, apperently alot of people don't like us. -
No More Work
Work was challenging. The heat in the factories, how much work we do in a day, and especially all of the hate and rude comments I get about being from Ireland. I've supported my family enough right now, and I just need a break, so I quit. I still live at home with Mother and Father. -
Here Comes The Bride
Niall proposed to me a while ago and today is finally our wedding day! I'm so happy right now, I'm glad I went on the voyage to America. My parents still don't approve and they won't share any money, or let us live with them in the house. Plus, we still need land. I guess we are goign to have to start clean, fresh. -
Growing Up
We heard about this thing called the Colorado Land Rush, and we decided it was a fantastic idea! We set out for Colorado as soon as we heard we could get land. -
A Happy Ever After
The race was brutal, gun shots everywhere and people cussing and riding their horses to fast.Niall and I almost got land once but then missed it, so we kept riding. The second time now we were so close, Niall got shot in the leg but I know the man was aiming for his head so I had no choice but to kill the man with a rock. Niall and I finally got our own land.
