    This was a call for the French to call in a congress they had not used since medieval times. There were three estates. The first was Clergy The second was nobility, and the third was establishing that it was the state who controlled.

    This was an oath stating that until the constitution is restored the assembly will not separate even if the kingdom is tearing apart
  • Storming of the Bastille

    This was the storming of a prison that was a symbol the dictatorial monarchy that was France at the time. This was the start of the french revolution

    The March on Versailles was a pivotal moment in the French revolution. There were over 6,000 working women that marched towards Versailles with pitchforks and muskets in there hands

    This was the big point in the French Revolution that turned the war from a losing battle into them easily winning

    The Terror was designed to fight the enemies of the revolution to prevent counter revolution from picking up. Most of the people rounded up were not aristocrats they were ordinary people. A man and his family might go to the guillotine for saying something critical about the government.

    The Haitian Revolution was a slave led uprising that helped the Haitian people get free from the French. It is the only slave uprising that led to the development of a website.
  • Coronation of Napoleon I

    Napoleon wanted to establish legitimacy of his imperial reign, with its new royal family and new nobility. Napoleon held his sacred ceremony in the great cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris with Pope Pius VII there in attendance.
