    Ideas:
    What we need to produce is an advertisement for “Mumbai Mirror” a newspaper. As we know, newspapers are kind of publication which can carry news and comments about current affairs for public. They are also one of the most important information transportation Medias. Their most significance function is to guide the consensuses or public voice.

    • Secondly, how long should our project be? As an advertisement, our project would be about 2 minutes.
  • Equipemts and major people

    • Seventhly, what equipment would we need? At least 5 cameras and enough taps. A studio for meeting and editing. Enough computer and laptops. Stuff in videos like numerous books for burning, speakers, different cars and certain uniforms.
    Finally, the process of idea will be finish in 4 days. And we will decide everything just in our studio. And equipments we need in this part are very simple, just computers and notebook. Major people will be the director and his group.

    • Firstly, we should know who our audience is. Our audience is mainly people in Mumbai. Besides, we would like people from other places to watch our advertisement. So the advertisement should be made in Mumbai in native language of India, but with English subtitle.

    • Fourthly, has someone else already done this? My team will search pervious advertisements to find if there used to be a similar one. I want my product to be the unique one.
  • Step 3

    • Thirdly, what is our goal? We decide to produce a video similar to a newspaper. In this case, our advertisement will be like a newspaper, which provides people facts and opinions. In other words, a newspaper contains a series of stories and my video would also be made up with several stories. I would like to make a video which brings people the voice they never heard, showing them the crying city and realized public’s anxiety, sadness, courage and determination just as Mumbai Mirror does.

    • Fifthly, how would we make the project?
    1. The video will be made in black and white.
    2. Some scenes will be recorded in public locations. In this way, we can also catch the impressions and response from passerby.
    3. Four stories are already decided.
    i. Rohinton Mistry’s books are forbidden by universities because of political reasons.
    ii. Local milk was adulterated with gutter water.
    iii. Kavda Orphanage which is as horrible as hell.
    iv. Illegal political posters pollute the city.

    • Sixthly, where would we make the project? All scenes will be recorded in Mumbai. We plan to have four big scenes in four different locations. And several short scenes.

    the whole processes will take about 3 days. And these processes need to be finished in our studio and the four locations we chosen.
    The major people for this step will be the director and his team, record group, drama group.
    Equipments: cameras, laptops, cars, working studio.

    • Firstly, in this step, we need to find out certain locations for our four stories. We also need a lot of photos for each location to arrange our stories.

    Secondly, the name or main topic of our advertisement is decided to be “I am Mumbai”, the same as the activity of Mumbai Mirror recently. It means everyone’s voice is Mumbai’s voice and Mumbai’s voice is everyone’s voice. In my point of view, newspapers are published for everyone in society. So they should deliver the voice of people who were treated unfairly or suffering from misery and expose illegal things. In other words newspapers are the voice of justice.

    • Thirdly, decide the detail of our stories. Dialogues of each story need to be written. Actually, we just have 100 seconds for all 4 stories. So each dialogue should be short, simple but powerful.

    • Fourthly, the background music would be chosen.

    • Fifthly, we still need to decide our actors and production group.

    • Firstly, we need to organize our stories and ideas together.

  • Step 2

    • Secondly, record group, drawing group, drama group, edit group and main actors should discuss all the details about the whole video.
  • Step 3

    • Thirdly, after improving our pervious design, drawing group will begin to build story board for the whole video. The stories part (first 100 seconds) needs more details or pictures.
  • Step 4

    • Fourthly, drawing pictures in the storyboard should not only about actors but also for surroundings to improve attraction and impressions. What is more, some photos we took before can also be used in Storyboard or at least as references.

    • Record is a very important but complex step in product, because in this step, we begin to realize our video from plans.
    • Firstly, the recording order for each scene is decided. During this part, numerous facts need to be considered. (Like day time or night, in door or outside, need figurant or not and so on)

    • Secondly, a particular plan with all details will be made by the whole recording team including director’s team, recording group, drama group, edit group and actors.

    The major people for this step will be everyone in our team.
    Equipments: Camera, cars, all the stuff appearing in video, laptops, players, TV, notebooks.

  • Step 3

    • Thirdly, different groups are built to record different scenes at the same time. It is significant for everyone to understand their own duties and undertook responsibility. Director and his vice directors will be in charge different scenes. They should make sure everyone in group is in his position before record begins.
  • Step 4

    • Fourthly, although every story or scene is only at most 25 second, we still need to record many times. If necessary, every story can even be broken into small pieces to record. We are producing an advertisement rather than a film. In this way, we can gain as much source for editing as possible, which can make an advertisement or a short video prefect.
  • Step 5

    • Fifthly, edit group and director will view all the tapes they record to make sure they have got every graph they need for edit the video. If they already have everything they will skip next step. If not, they should spend one more day just for record the part they are lack of.

    • Sixthly, if they need to record more details, they will do that in this step.
  • Step 7

    • Seventhly, arrange every tapes or sounds they got in recording to prepare for editing.

    • Firstly, there will be a meeting between director, drama group and edit group. They will discuss about the details about how to produce a final video.

  • Step 2

    • Secondly, according to the length of audio record of each stories, edit group choose small parts from all these tapes to make the product.
  • Step 3

    • Thirdly, the background music and record or actor’s words will be added into the video.
  • Step 4

    • Fourthly, examine if the music, voice, and video mix well or not, if necessary, they will arrange them to gain the first product.
  • Step 5

    • Fifthly, the people who making the first product will review their product to find if there is something can improve.
  • Step 6

    • Sixthly, the whole team will watch the video to give comments about that. And they will discuss about all comments and director will decide what changes edit group will make to improve the video.

    • Firstly, edit group need to test subtitle and examine if the video plays well in different kinds of devices like TV, computer, laptop.

    • Secondly, we need to invent some people to watch the video for comments. And we are always ready to make changes to improve our product.
