Cortez leader of the conquistadors allied with city states around the Aztec empire and had a bloody battle. Cortez and his men won by killing their ruler. later Aztecs planned a huge attack on the spanish that was called the Noche Triste cortez had to fight his way out of the Capital City. later that year they returned with reinforcements killing off the rest of the Aztec Empire.
