First clinical discription
The first clinical descriptions of cutaneous anthrax were given by Maret in 1752 and Fournier in 1769. Before this, anthrax had only been described through historical accounts. -

During the 1800s there were many different discoveries that were made. So basically at that time doctors had not really found out what microbe causes microbe they just knew that it was an bacteria. So basically at this time Robert Koch decided to go deep into the bacteria that causes the infection. At that time he found out a very interesting thing, which is that the sores in the bacteria cna stay alive for a very long time and in many different environments. Louis Pasteur creates the first vaccine for this disease
After Robert Koch another sciencetest decided to take Robert Kochs work to the next level. He did this by firstly proving that the disease can go from one animal to a human in many ways. This sciencetests name was Pastuer. He tried very hard to make a vaccine for the disease. During this time he also have around 25 animals 2 of these shots, which he made from weakened Anthrax bacteria. After doing this he also gave the vaccine to a live bacteria. The result was that the bacteria gen weakthened. -
There was also an deliberate use of anthrax in the 1900
People started to use anthrax delibrately. So like people started to put anthrax in letters so that it could infect others. -

In 1928 penicllin was dicovered, but it was not untill 1944 thast it had its first use on treating Anthrax. Pencillin then became a drug to cure Anthrax and people started to use it instead of the treatments -

This was the first human vaccine that was created. This vaccine was tested on a group of goat hair and mill workers. Only people who wantted the caccine were gevin it because it was new and some people did not want to take it. You had to get a vaccine every 2 years. It was said to be very good. -
