Migration is basically moving out from your home town or from where ever you were born and brought up in and moving in to an unknown place where you might just stay in forever. There is also something called partial migration and that means to move from a house to another or place in the same country you live in.

In the India and Pakistan partition around 12-15 million Indians migrated near the new border of the two countries. It was really bad, many people didn't even have any public transport to go in.

People migrate from India to different places probably for better job opportunities, family priorities, education, health reasons, avoiding poverty and it can also be for inequality.
