Psychology Childhood Timeline

  • Infancy

I was born on February 22nd 1995 nine months to the day, or night that I was concieved. My parents conceived me while in California on vacation. I was the last of a long tradition in my mothers family, four generations of the men in my mothers family were born in the same week of February, this tradition ended after me.
  • Object permanence

My dads favorite game to play when I was a kid was Peek-a-Boo. So one day we were playing the game he hid his face, when he did I hit him in the crotch, needs less to say he came back...
  • Stranger Anxiety

After my sister and I broke our couch putting it next to the trampoline and jumping on to it, my family decided to go couch shopping after picking a couch we left to wait at our house for the couch. Well to be corrpletely correct they left.. me and my sister in the store, as soon as a clerk asked my name i freaked out.
  • Juvenile Delinquency

I was in First grade when my mother was released from her five year stay at a state detention facility. In the five years she was in prison my father took us to see her only five times. We were allowed to go every month, the prison was an hour away.
  • Motor Development

This was the first time I remeber my motor skills helping me. I was on top of my garage with a skateboard at the end of the roof was a small ramp and beneath that was a pool. I rode down the the roof, off the ramp, and then the ramp slid as soon as I left it i lost most of my speed but I luckily land just inside the pool. Another stroke of luck came when my board landed on the ground and not in the pool.
  • Adolescence

This day marks a few things, the frist time i was grounded for a lengthy period of time and the day i was introduced to man's real best friend fireworks. I decided to put cherry bombs in all my sister's, whos birthday is in April, barbies she got four or five new ones for her birthday, i spent the next two months paying for them.
  • Identity Moratorium

While seemingly unimportant this was the day i first heard the genre of music that changed my life, in perception, and in my identity in general, PUNK. While I was sitting in my cousins room he was smoking and turned on music, I had become used to this but the music he played today was different not his usual KISS, it was The Sex Pistols, arguably the greatest punk band of all time after that I lived breathe and slept punk, from the Ramones to NOFX I was obsessed.
  • Adolescent growth spurt

It was not far into fifth grade and I had growing pains so bad that I did not sleep for three days and by the end of the growth spurt I had grown four inches in a month.
  • Idetntity

On Christmas of my sixth grade year i got my first electric guitar. I had already had an acoustic four years but this was completely different. Before my fingers played the music of the 60's best and brightest now they played the 80's heaviest and hardest. That guitar has been extremely influential on making me who I am today.
  • Peer Pressure

Me and a few of my "friends" decided to go down to our hang out the levy, a large grass hill with many assorted thorn bushes at the bottom. I let them talk me into rolling down the hill in a trash can hitting a ramp and landing in ot one but two rose bushes and a variety of thorny vines.
  • Conventional Moral Reasoning

I was skating downtown at the Civic Centre and a cop hand cuffed and escorted me off the property. Maybe twenty minutes later I was skating down the Old National parking garage and the same cop was waiting at the bottom for when. Needless to say this is the day I learned about law and order.
  • Identity Acheivement

I had already made my identity but on my sixteenth birthday i feel i added a little something to my self a Ukulele. From then on i knew that all i wanted to do with my life was play music.
  • Divorce

Only three days after my 16th birthday my parents, who were married for 20 plus years, decided to get a divorce. Even though this is such a new event it has still changed my life. The divorce split my family into two groups and my parents forced us to pick sides.
