    If the pilgrims never came, we may still be practicing religion that other people wanted us to practice. We wouldn’t be able to believe in what we wanted, but instead what the government wanted us to believe in.

But, because the British decided to make settlement boundaries, the colonists couldn’t settle where they wanted. Therefore, they got the boundaries to move further west beginning tensions between the colonies and Britain,

    Because there was an economic crisis at around the same time as the sugar act was made into law, many colonists decided to protest the act. They were more worried about how the acts would effect the economy rather than worry about how there was no reason for the tax except to feed and house the Kings army, They started smuggling the molasses, and as people started to get caught and punished, it drove the colonists away from Britain.

    Because of the Tea Party, Parliament passed laws to keep them from questioning the British government. Also, they passed laws to punish the people that fought for freedom.

    without the Declaration, we wouldn’t be independent. We would still be under British rule and maybe still at war with them for our Independence. We wouldn’t have our own government. Also, we wouldn’t have all the rights we do now. We would have to live by the Kings rules and his religion. But, instead we get to practice whatever we want to.
