Xavier's Timeline

  • May 2013

    May 2013
I graduated from Peebles High School in 2013. I cannot believe I have been graduated for 5 years! Peebles High School is where I currently work as a substitute teacher and coach junior high and varsity cheerleading. I love being involved and working at the school. (This is a photo of my mom & I on the day of graduation)
  • Engagement

    Engagement
On July 26, 2015, I said "yes" to my boyfriend of 3 years. Austin and I met my senior year of HS and after being engaged for 3 years, we finally set our wedding date for October 20, 2018.
  • Bachelor of Arts in Sociology

When I graduated in 2013, my plan was to become a teacher. I received my Associates of Arts from Southern State University in 2015 and changed my major to Sociology when I transferred to Shawnee. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Shawnee last year.
  • Substitute Teaching

I began substitute teaching in November of 2017. My fiancé has made it possible for me to be a stay at home mom and work for "fun". When you're home with a 1 1/2, who is already going through the toddler stages, work is considered "fun". While subbing, I fell in love with teaching all over again! My goal to become an Intervention Specialist K-12. Even though I love my degree now and all it has to offer, my heart is still with education... so here I am! :)
  • The day I became a Mommy!

The day I became a Mommy!
I am a blessed Mommy to a precious, rotten little boy. Irving is 1 1/2 years old. He loves to go outside, take baths, eat and play basketball! I could write a book, but to keep it simple, becoming a Mom is the best thing that ever happened to me.
  • EDRE Summer Course

In this course I hope to gain a better understanding on how to teach students phonics and how to read. I am excited to take the knowledge from this course and apply it to the classroom.
