    KIng Leopold II would at first rule this colony and use it as a incoming factory where his men would beat, torture, and force the Congalese people to work. He used the Congo as a rubber farm. He would later give up the colony to the Belgian government, who realized there was plenty of minerals and natural resources under the dirt. The Belgian government would then switch the labor to mining.
