When my parents divorced, I had a hard time without having my dad around everyday. Now, I have gotten used to not having him around all the time, but there are days when all I want is a hug from my dad.

My mom needed a fresh start, so she moved her and me to Colorado to live with cousins.

My older cousin, Kari, and her boyfriend, Nick, moved out to Colorado for a while, so my mom and I followed.

It was hard having another woman in my life in this sense, but I was glad that my dad was happy.

She was the first but not the only. Having my little cousins in my life brings such joy. It makes me realize how much I want children someday.

My eating disorder started at this time, but I did not conquer it until about December. It started as a way to cope with stress: While living at my grandparent's home, I felt out of control in my life. Eating and exercise became the only things I could control, so I did.
