My mother always wanted another child after my older sister Allie. She wished and wished until 6 years later on September 28, 1999 I was born. She said I was easy, but I wanted her all the time. My sister did not want to leave the hospital until she got to see me. I was a cute baby and I am so happy to have a wonderful loving family. -
9/11 attack
The morning of September 11 is a memorable day, but not at all in a good way. Osama Bin Laden sent a group called Al Qaeda in to hijack four planes. The first plane hit the North tower of the World Trade Center, and the second plane hit the south tower. The third plane crashed into the pentagon and the fourth went down in an open empty field. Apple debuts the iPod
The creative inventor Steve Jobs has done it again. He has come out with the IPod. The iPod comes in many assorted colors such as blue, green, pink, black, and gray’s wonder what Steve will invent in the future. I was so happy when I received my own iPod for my birthday. It was a blue one, just what I wanted. -
Hurricane Katrina
Hurricane Katrina hit parts of Florida, New Orleans, and ect. Katrina destroyed parts of the southern regions of the United States. People still are not emotionally stable from that day, it made it even worse when the people that had survived had to endure hurricane Sandy. The damage was so heartbreaking the families when they came back and saw their home destroyed. I felt really bad for the people who were killed, wounded, and heartbroken in New Orleans, but at least they are better than ever -
I won a gold medal at my first Tae Kwon Do tournament
I entered the gym where the tournament was being held, signed in, and then sat down in my row. I watched as other people went and preformed the specialty for that event; form. One by one they were ranked 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place. It was now my turn. I took my ready position then started. I was going up against another girl who was a higher belt than I was. My row was complete, and they announced 3rd place, 2nd place, and then 1st place, me. There weren't any words to say except,I won. -
The final book "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" was released.
Everybody knows the wonderful books and movies of Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling, she changed so many people's lives with her discriptions. They made people think they were sitting under the sorting hat and playing quittiched. I was sad when the books were over, because I used to read them with my sister. -
First day of middle school
The first day jitters, everyone gets them including fifth graders that are now sixth graders. I mean a whole new school, new teachers, new people, and one thing that is exciting; lockers. When you put your combo in and open your locker it is so cool and different then the cubbies you had in elementary school that is for sure. I was so nervous the first day, but now I am in seventh grade and I am fantastic now. It only takes a short time to get adjusted to -
My sister was in a car wreck
Allie reached down to get her coffee thinking she had plenty a time before stopping behind a Toyota Jeep, but she didn’t. She broke her femur and was taken to Atlanta Medical Center where they put a surgical rod in her leg. 2 weeks later she had an allergic reaction to the rod which had .1% nickel. Her car was totaled and unrecognizable. I was shocked when I heard the news because I could have lost my sister that day, but I was lucky. -
My 13th birthday
My mom planned a surprise party for me for my 13th Birthday. Four of my closest friends came and we had a scavenger hunt. More people would have come but they were busy, I really didn't care. My dad and I went to Home Depot to go get a light, and when I got back; SURPRISE!! I was really shocked and so happy they could come; we had a blast especially when we had pizza, soda, and cookie cake. -
Hurricane Sandy
Tragedy struck New York, New Jersey, and affected almost every state in the United states. People are homeless and family less. The famous Board Walk and rollercoaster were destroyed and family memories were ripped out of their hands. Homes in Long Beach, NJ were destroyed and sand lay where home were either hit by the wind or burned down. I was devastated when I heard about the storm. So many people lost their lives, but Sandy did not keep people from helping; not at all. Not even me.
